The good news for Boston College hockey fans, freshman Philip Samuelsson, Parker Milner and Patrick Wey all escaped major injury in a head-on collision between their car and a trolley on Saturday night.
The Unstoppable Trolley vs. The Immovable Boston College Hockey Players
↵The bad news for Boston College hockey fans, all three are facing charges after it was determined that alcohol was a factor in the crash.
↵↵The operator also told police that after the impact, three of the Jeep’s occupants tossed what looked like alcoholic containers, before they fled the scene.
↵All seven of the individuals face charges of being minors in possession of alcohol. An MBTA spokesman said a bottle of vodka was found in the jeep.
↵↵Doesn’t help matters that three of the seven people in the Jeep fled the scene, including Milner. Samuelsson and Wey were among the students that went to the hospital, though with non-life-threatening injuries.
↵All three players were contributors to BC’s national championship team this past season, especially Samuelsson who played in all 42 games. The trio should feel lucky to be alive and relatively unscathed for the moment. As for what punishment comes next from the city and the university, they might not be so lucky.
