MMA Junkie with a few quotes from various sides of the story:
Details Starting To Emerge On Tito Ortiz Domestic Abuse Case
“Unfortunately, Jenna relapsed this morning and suffered the consequences of that,” Chip Matthews, Ortiz’s personal lawyer, said at the press conference. “We’re here because Tito was trying to help her.”
...
Jameson spoke to KCAL-TV News outside her home on late Monday and said she suffered a torn rotator cuff in the alleged incident, though Ortiz did not strike her.
“He didn’t beat me,” Jameson said. “We had an argument, and it escalated, and things got out of control ... the cops were called, and because there were visible marks on me, they took him to jail.”
Obviously you’d like to see a lawyer not saying that a woman “suffered the consequences” of their actions when it comes to a domestic abuse case. Still, I think the play here is between if Tito was defending himself because Jenna was upset over a drug situation and attacking him or if there was more going on.
Jenna claims that during an argument Monday morning she, “said something very hurtful to his ego.” She alleges that Tito then grabbed her and, “threw me into the bathtub and tore two ligaments in my shoulder.”
Tito’s attorney Chip Matthews strongly denies that, saying ... “He did not put his hands on her, he did not hit her, he did not do anything to her.”
Matthews claims Tito found pills in Jenna’s pants pocket -- and that when Tito confronted her she had an “emotional meltdown.”
Jenna says Tito’s addiction allegation is, “completely false” and “the last nail in the coffin” for their relationship.
There really isn’t much you can do in this situation other than feel bad for their children and hope that whatever result comes of this whole mess it’s one that takes their well-being into account.
