Why Does The Two-Car Breakaway Work At Talladega?

I’m not smart enough to explain the physics of how the draft works, but fortunately, someone else is.

↵On Sunday at Talladega, it appeared that two-car breakaways could outrun the field more than ever before.

↵Clearly, this had something to do with the aero package and the change to the spoiler, but as a non-engineer, it’s a bit tough to explain exactly why.
