Vice President Biden Wins West Virginians’ Support By Dissing Rich Rodriguez

President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden traveled to West Virginia to speak to mourning families and friends of the 29 people lost in a coal mine explosion earlier this month. It was obviously a somber time for all involved (you can read a full account of the event on CNN), but VP Biden found a way to draw applause in a state that his side lost 55.7 to 42.6 in 2008. When in doubt, bring up how much everyone hates former West Virginia/current Michigan coach Rich Rodriguez.↵

They hated the way Coach Rodriguez left West Virginia for Michigan.↵↵↵Who knew that’d draw actual applause? Yes, even in the face of such a tragic event, West Virginia natives will not take a break from hating Rich Rod. You’ve got to admire that kind of dedication. ↵
