Tragic news out of the University of Pennsylvania Monday as junior Owen Thomas, a captain on the football team, was found dead in his apartment.

University spokeswoman Lori Doyle says Wharton junior Owen Thomas was found dead at 2 p.m. Monday. She says the cause of death has not been determined but “no foul play is suspected.”
Thomas was a second-team All-League player in 2009 and had just recently been voted one of the captains by his teammates.
