The Washington Capitals are in a world of hurt at the moment as they are still down one goal to the Montreal Canadiens with 2:16 left in the third period.
Montreal’s Dominic Moore gave the Capitals a 2-0 lead as he put in a rebound against goaltender Simeon Varlamov and gave the Canadiens hope with roughly three minutes left in the third period. The Capitals quickly added a goal from Brooks Laich to cut the deficit to one.
