Maybe Kyle Busch’s new role as a team owner has taught him a lesson or two.
Kyle Busch Wins Nashville, But Guitar Stays Intact
↵Busch won the Nashville truck race on Friday night – his first victory as team owner of Kyle Busch Motorsports – and left the Sam Bass-painted trophy guitar in one piece.
↵Last June, Busch infamously smashed the guitar to Bass’ horror.
↵“I’m going to give it to Sam and if he wants to, he can beat my truck up with it because of what I did here last fall,” Busch said. “I don’Â’t think he’Â’ll take me up on it, but he can have at it if he wants because he said he wanted to drive [Busch’s car] into a brick wall anyway.””
↵Bass declined Busch’s offer, so the trophy will likely have a new home at the Kyle Busch Motorsports shop – once the long-delayed project gets finished.
↵Busch has a chance to win another guitar in today’s Nationwide Series race at Nashville.
