The Giants cut ties with LB Antonio Pierce following the season. Pierce was dealing with an injury but the thought was that he still had some left in the tank and, once healthy, he’d return to the field with another team.

That may not be the case, according to TMZ.
Pierce -- the guy who was with Plaxico Burress on the night he shot himself in New York -- just wrapped up a private audition to be an in-studio football analyst with ESPN.
Citing a source close to Pierce, TMZ reports that he’s drawn interest from the Rams -- coached by former Giants coordinator Steve Spagnuolo -- but that he apparently would rather head to the studio than play for one of the NFL’s worst teams.
