Jon Fitch v. Thiago Alves Rescheduled Again, Now Set For UFC 117
The long-anticipated rematch between Thiago Alves and Jon Fitch has been delayed yet again, MMA Fighting has learned.
The bout has been pushed back to UFC 117, UFC President Dana White confirmed to MMA Fighting.
“Making sure Alves is 1000 percent healthy,” White replied via text when asked the reason for the postponement.
I’m more excited at this point for the fight to actually happen than I am to actually watch it. The rematch was set for UFC 107, then Alves got hurt and it was bounced to UFC 111. Then a brain irregularity was detected in Alves’ pre-fight tests so the bout was pushed back to UFC 115. Now it’s being pushed back again to give Alves more time to recover.
We’ll be here with any updates should the fight bet bumped back yet again.
