Wayne Rooney Rethinks His Clandestine Beer Order
↵
↵That is some seriously painstaking commentary on Wayne Rooney’s attempt at furtive boozing while watching his team, Manchester United, lose to Chelsea on Saturday. Without Rooney, the Man U attack suffered mightily, and his two to four week absence because of an ankle injury stands to endanger their hopes of taking a fourth straight Premier League title. Such disappointment could be soothed with a drink, but Rooney would rather not allow the cameras to get footage of him imbibing one.↵↵But is it really terrible form for an injured player to partake in a beer while watching his team from a luxury box? I suppose staying sober is a better show of solidarity with his teammates than being sloppy drunk, but possessed of his faculties or not, the club remains in the same dire straits. But then the onus must be on Rooney to suffer with them.↵
