Steve Marino’s morning lead has quickly dwindled, as he double bogeyed the final hole to finish his first round at 1-under. Plenty of other early front-runners have emerged, however, lead by 60-year-old Tom Watson, who finished his first round at 5-under and is the leader in the clubhouse. Watson, you’ll recall, nearly won the British Open last year, which would’ve made him the oldest player to win a major. We shall see if he can hang around and once again become a sentimental favorite this weekend.

Other big names off to a hot start include Phil Mickelson and Lee Westwood, who both currently sit at 4-under, and David Toms, who finished the day at 3-under.
Tiger Woods’ round is underway. He hit par on his first two, before a birdie on the third -- an great start for any player, and an amazing one for Woods, all things considered.
