Tracy Morgan Improves Orioles Broadcast Immeasurably
↵
↵The Baltimore Orioles had Tracy Morgan throw out the first pitch (a “hanging fastball,” by his admission) before a recent game against the Yankees. I suppose the New York connection with 30 Rock was enough to explain the appearance. ↵↵As you might expect, announcers Jim Palmer and Gary Thorne, as well as viewers at home, were in for quite a treat. In addition to giving Palmer a hard time for declining to host Saturday Night Live in 1984 and detailing the time he met Frank Sinatra, Morgan claimed to have once played for the Padres and befriended Juan Uribe. Only he called him Jose Uribe.↵
↵↵⇥Morgan: You know, it goes back to my pro baseball career. I used to play for the Padres with Jose Uribe. ↵⇥
↵⇥
↵⇥Thorne (or Palmer, can’t tell): It was Juan Uribe, but that’s alright. ↵⇥
↵⇥
↵⇥Morgan: It was Juan Uribe? I used to call him Jose Uribe.↵↵↵The only thing that could have made this better is if he appeared as Brian Fellows and started talking about his experience with orioles.↵
