If The ACC Championship Game Is Broadcast In 3-D And Nobody Sees It, Will It ... Oh, Forget It

The 2010 ACC Championship Game will be presented to a largely disinterested viewing public in 3-D, which makes a strange kind of sense since the ACC Championship Game usually showcases the sort of football that has to hang its hat on gimmicks to draw any sort of attention at all. And even if 3-D televised sports does catch on with a mainstream audience between now and December ... here, check out the attendance figures for the game since its inception:
2005: 72,749
2006: 62,850
2007: 53,212
2008: 27,360
2009: 57,227
That numbers spike in 2009 simply cannot be allowed to stand in order for the 2010 ACCCG to fuel us all with jokes as readily as it did in 2008. So yes, let’s reverse that correction by giving fans another reason to stay home. Capital idea.
HT: The good Doctor, who says, “Get ready to experience Ralph Friedgen in the kind of breathtaking detail you never imagined.” We would rather not.
