Jacare’s rise through the MMA world continued with a lopsided decision win over Joey Villasenor.

For three rounds Jacare was able to get the better of the stand-up game, a portion of the fight that many expected Villasenor to dominate with his solid boxing. In between landing power shots Jacare displayed a very solid takedown game, getting double leg’s to put the fight on the floor over and over. While on the ground Villasenor ate a lot of powerful blows.
The fight was mostly lather, rinse, repeat for three rounds with Villasenor finally able to do a little bit of work in the stand-up game but most fans still had him clearly losing the round. SB Nation scored the bout 30-27 after three rounds. When the official scorecards were read it was 30-27, 29-28, and 29-28 all for Jacare.
