The last time we heard from free agent QB Daunte Culpepper was back in March at the NFL owners’ meetings. He was apparently lobbying for a job which was called a “sad” scene by some NFL writers. He later openly campaigned for the Bills quarterback job but, to no one’s surprise, didn’t receive a call.

↵Culpepper is resurfacing again but this time it’s the UFL -- not the NFL -- according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
↵↵Culpepper and the Mountain Lions are putting the finishing touches on a deal that will make him one of the league’s marquee names, according to sources familiar with the talks.
↵↵Ironically the last time Culpepper played for was the Lions. The Detroit Lions.
↵He’ll be reunited with Dennis Green, who was the Vikings coach when Culpepper accounted for more than 40 total touchdowns in 2000.
