The Yankees took another hit in their lineup Wednesday night when Jorge Posada’s MRI revealed he has a hairline fracture on the bottom of his right foot.
Jorge Posada Set To Return From Foot Fracture
All along, Jorge Posada maintained he wouldn’t be out as long as the doctors were saying. It looks like Jorge Posada was right.
Posada was initially projected to miss 3-4 weeks, but if he returns tomorrow, it will have been barely two weeks since he last played against Minnesota. The only thing holding him back from a return at this point is that Joe Girardi wants to see him run one more time.

Posada is expected to miss up to a month and will most likely be placed on the disabled list Thursday.
Posada has missed the last three games because of what was originally called a “bruised” right foot. Posada was hitting .326 with a .406 on-base percentage before the injury.
