Shoulder Surgery Knocks Gregg Zaun Out For The Season
What was originally a shoulder strain was later diagnosed as a torn labrum. Torn labrums are bad. Torn labrums need surgery. And Zaun is going to get it.
The ageless Zaun should be able to make a full recovery, although this will do a number on his marketability come the offseason when he’ll again likely be a free agent. For the Brewers, while George Kottaras has just nine hits in his last 49 at bats, he has an .848 OPS on the season, bolstered by a good amount of power and an impressive 26 walks in just 115 trips to the plate.
