Gregg Zaun is 39 years old, but if you have trouble believing it, you're not alone. Not only has he maintained his ability to hit year after year, but the veteran catcher continues to get the lion's share of playing time wherever he goes. With the Brewers so far in 2010, Zaun has caught 28 of 41 games while OPS'ing .743. It's unfortunate, then, that the team will have to get by without him for a couple of weeks, as he's gone and strained his shoulder:

What's expected to be a busy Friday of Brewers roster moves began with the team officially placing catcher Gregg Zaun on the 15-day disabled list and selecting the contract of catcher Jonathan Lucroy from Triple-A Nashville to take his place.
Zaun originally injured his shoulder in a home plate collision in the middle of April, but mostly recovered before re-aggravating the injury on Thursday by swinging the bat.
The good news for Milwaukee is that Zaun's backup - George Kottaras - has slugged .585 while drawing and impossible 17 walks over just 60 trips to the plate. The 27 year old former hot prospect should be able to handle the job for the time being. Lucroy, meanwhile, comes up from AAA having only recently been promoted there from AA Huntsville. He'll fill Kottaras' role, while Kottaras will fill Zaun's.
