First up, Moosin:
Strikeforce Challengers VIII And Moosin: God of Martial Arts Weigh-In Results
Main card:
Tim Sylvia (305) -300 vs. Marius Pudzianowski (273) +215
Travis Wiuff (253) -450 vs. Josh Barnes (262) +350
Travis Lutter (185) -240 vs. Rafael Natal (185) +190
Yves Edwards (157) -220 vs. Mike Campbell (156) +190
Tara LaRosa (129) -700 vs. Roxy Modafferi (128) +520
Sylvia showing up at 305 is not the best sign in the world, but I don’t know that it really changes the fact that Pudzianowski is the one whose cardio you should be worried about, and Sylvia has much better talent all-around. It should be an easy win for the former UFC champion.
Edwards/Campbell is a very good fight and LaRosa/Modafferi has meaning in women’s MMA but should still be a cakewalk for Tara.
Now the Strikeforce Challengers weigh-in results:
Matt Lindland (186) -450 vs. Kevin Casey (184.5) +300
Nate Coy (171) +350 vs. Tyron Woodley (170) -525
Roger Bowling (170.5) -500 vs. Bobby Voelker (170) +300
Nate Moore (171) +160 vs. Tarec Saffiedine (170.5) -200
Pat Healy (156.5) -110 vs. Bryan Travers (155.5) -120
Kevin Casey is a generally annoying personality. He awarded himself a black belt in jiu jitsu when he made the determination that he was good enough, rather than waiting for his trainer to award it. And he also is good friends with Spencer Pratt. In fact, Spencer appeared in Kevin’s “music video,” for those who are unaware Pratt is the scrawny white guy:
Kacey will be taking on Matt Lindland, former UFC middleweight champion.
