You have to give EA Sports a lot of credit for understanding you have to do two things to build buzz around a video game like NBA Jam. One is to allow people to submit their own catch phrases to possibly be included in the game. It allows the consumer to feel involved, and that’s what you have to do in the Internet Age, or so I’m told.

↵The second thing? Put those catch phrases in a bracket, of course. Everyone (except the people behind the BCS) loves brackets, so whenever you have the opportunity to do a bracket, you take advantage. Go to that link to vote on awesome catch phrases like “Stimulus Package” and “Diagnosis: You Suck,” my two personal favorites.
↵My only complaint is that none of these phrases were included. Maybe EA Sports can sneak them in for the deluxe edition.
