Flyers Blog: Philly Feeds On Adversity

From SBN’s Broad Street Hockey...

Adversity doesn't seem to hurt these guys -- it just makes them stronger. That's been the theme of the entire year. A coach fired, 14th place in the conference at one point, seven different goaltenders, down to the final game of the regular season, getting in via the shootout, down 0-3 against Boston, down 0-3 in Game 7. It just doesn't matter.

The next bit of adversity? The Chicago Blackhawks. They're damn good, but this Flyers club is pretty damn good too.

The 2009-10 Philadelphia Flyers will not die, and now, they'll play for the Stanley Cup for the first time in 13 years. Believe it, guys and gals. This glorious, lovable mess of a team is going to the Stanley Cup Final. What a ride. Get ready for one of the best weeks of your life.
