Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez has called a meeting of the club’s board as well as a press conference for Wednesday evening (Madrid time). According to reports, Pérez will address the club’s coaching situation, with expectations that current Internazionale coach José Mourinho will be announced to the same position at the Santiago Bernabeu.

At the same time, Pérez is expect to announce the future of current coach Manuel Pellegrini, who led Real Madrid to the club’s highest ever league point total in 2009-10 but still fell four points short of Barcelona. Real Madrid was also eliminated early in the Copa del Rey and did not make it past the Round of 16 in UEFA Champions League.
Mourinho is coming off his second Champions League title on Saturday, his Internazionale team defeating Bayern Munich 2-0 in the Bernabeu.
Mourinho was to meet with Inter president Massimo Moratti yesterday to finale his Milano future. Reports held Mourinho had already reached an agreement with Real Madrid, with the former Chelsea and Porto manager already confirming his intent to leave Italian football.
