The Dodgers Have Come to Collect From Jon Lovitz

In a story that’s inspired scores of headline riffs on his SNL catchphrase “That’s the ticket!”, actor Jon Lovitz, along with 100 others, is being sued by the Los Angeles Dodgers for failing to pay for three premium seats for this season. The team filed a breach of contract suit for $95,500 against Lovitz for failing to pay on three “Dugout Club” seats he signed a three-year contract for in March 2008.↵↵According to the terms of the contract, the cost of the seats increased by three percent for each of the second and third years of the deal. The Dodgers in April canceled the contract because of non-payment. Lovitz isn’t the only entertainer being targeted by the Dodgers. Producer Steve Marlton allegedly owes the club $304,800 for non-payment on two Dugout Club seats for the 2010-2014 seasons.↵
↵↵It’s unclear what Lovitz’s current financial situation looks like, but he is at least running a comedy club at Universal CityWalk in LA. Then again, if he’s resorting to guest stints on WWE Monday Night Raw, things can’t be all that rosy, can they?↵
