Well, this happens to a lot of companies, I guess. And SB Nation’s no different. As the company grows, there will be changes. And this is one of them. It’s a sign of the times.
It’s So Hard To Say Goodbye To SB Nation’s Jersey Room
Yesterday, a number of editors had to pack up our stuff, take down the ornaments decorating their office walls, and... move downstairs. Herein begins the swan song of “The Jersey Room.”
Close the door, light a candle, and play this song at full volume. The whole hood’s crying on this one.
All I knowwww, is where we’ve been, and what we’ve been through...
You see, the editors worked in a room full of jerseys. And it was... Perfect. We had jerseys from all over the sports world (and all over my childhood). Like running back corner, here:
I thought we’d get to see forever.... But for-evvvvvvvvver’s gone away.
And I’ll taaaaaaaaake, with me the memories, to be my sunshine after the rain...
The good times that made us laugh, outweighhhhh the bad.
How do I say goodbye to what we had?
If we gettttttttttt to see tomorrow, I hoooooooooope it’s worth all the wait.
It’s so, so hard to say goodbye. Thanks for the memories, Jersey Room. Our senior editor, Chris Mottram, maintains that it smelled like a locker room. But damnit, it was OUR locker room-smelling, windowless dungeon. We’ll take the memories, though. To be our sunshine after the rain.

(Pours out coffee on the floor of our new office).
