As a former Ultimate Fighter winner Amir Sadollah came into UFC 114 with a bigger name than his opponent Dong Hyun Kim. It was Kim with the better experience and as such he was considered the favorite by most fans “in the know.”

For three rounds Kim was able to avoid the dangerous Muay Thai striking of Sadollah and get inside to use his effective judo to put the fight on the ground. From there he constantly worked position and ground and pound to grind Sadollah down. It was your typical “lather, rinse, repeat” type fight as every time they were on the feet it was just Kim getting inside, taking a single leg and going right back on top.
After three rounds all three judges saw it as a 30-27 win for Dong Hyun “Stun Gun” Kim.
