Todd Duffee came into UFC 114 as one of the top heavyweight prospects in the UFC. He was coming off the record quickest knockout in UFC history and facing a man in Mike Russow who has never really impressed anyone. For two and a half rounds things went perfectly according to plan as Duffee landed power shot after power shot with the only positive for Russow being that he showed the ability to absorb a lot of punishment.
UFC 114 Results: Mike Russow Shocks With Third Round KO Of Todd Duffee
However in the last half of the final round Russow landed what was his only solid punch of the fight and Duffee went out cold. It was a shocking moment and a huge derailment of the Todd Duffee hype train. Russow didn’t look good for anything except the very end of the fight and Duffee got KO’ed in a fight he was dominating. That’s not exactly good for anyone.
Russow improves to 2-0 in the UFC though and certainly won’t be going anywhere now.
