A middleweight bout has been added to the upcoming UFC on Versus 2 show in Salt Lake City as former NCAA champion Mark Munoz returns to action to face Japanese fighter Yushin Okami.
The fight was confirmed to MMAWeekly.com on Wednesday by sources close to the bout.

It’s odd to see a potential big star in the future in Munoz getting given such a difficult fight. Mark struggled badly in the first round of his last fight. Kendall Grove was able to hurt him standing up and had several near submissions locked in. Okami, on the other hand, looked as good as he has in his entire career in his dismantling of Lucio Linhares.
While Munoz is many times the stronger, better wrestler Okami is a huge 185 pounder and has good wrestling of his own. The technical striking edge is also no doubt in Okami’s favor.
It’s hard to see many avenues to victory for Munoz.
