NASCAR attendance continues to fall this year despite more exciting racing, “Boys, have at it” and a return to the spoiler.
NASCAR Attendance Drops In Nine Of First 10 Races
↵Official attendance estimates issued by NASCAR are typically exaggerated, but even those are down this year, according to USA Today.
↵Nine of the first 10 races have seen declines in attendance, per the official estimates.
↵According to the report (click here to see the full story), Bristol, Talladega and Phoenix have all seen double-digit dips in attendance. And remember, that’s just the official estimate – the actual crowds are likely even smaller.
↵What does it mean? Well, at this point, it’s hard to blame NASCAR. The racing has been wildly entertaining and exciting this year.
↵The lack of butts in the seats is likely because of the economy, which continues to hit NASCAR fans (many of whom are in the middle class) hard.
