Nick Johnson To Make Annual Visit To Disabled List With Wrist Injury

Yankees designated hitter Nick Johnson is expected to make a trip to the disabled list with another injury -- this time his wrist -- after leaving Friday's game against the Red Sox:

#Yankees expect to put Nick Johnson on the disabled list tomorrow. He'll have an MRI back in NY.

Johnson was 0 for 2 with a strikeout before leaving the game. Yankees second baseman Robinson Cano also left the game because of an injury.

Johnson was hitting just .171 coming into Friday’s game, but he was getting on base at an impressive .396 clip.
