Uruguay’s Nicolas Lodeiro Shown First Red Card Of World Cup 2010

Uruguayan midfielder Nicolas Lodeiro was dismissed from Uruguay’s match with France, being shown red in the 81st minute after picking up a second yellow card for a foul on Bacary Sagna.

Lodeiro had come on in the second half and picked up a quick yellow card in the 65th minute. The second yellow came when the young Uruguayan was late going into a challenge on the French right back, his studs coming down on the Frenchman’s right ankle.

Lodeiro was shown yellow than red and will miss Uruguay’s next match, against South Africa.
