If Only Everyone Had This Much Trouble Playing a Vuvuzela

↵The vuvuzela continues to be the scourge of the World Cup for most non-African viewers. Though FIFA officials have thus far balked at banning the instrument from World Cup, it has continued to generate massive amounts of annoyance, help to spread maladies and also heavily contribute to a earplug shortage in South Africa.↵↵Nevertheless, the blasted little noisemakers have at least driven people to unite in opposition against them. Leading the charge are the players who have to perform while being inundated with the buzzing sounds. During an interview with Spanish television, midfielder Andre Iniesta was presented was one of the plastic horns to see if he could overcome his natural aversion and play the thing. Turns out that vuvuzela playing is a more intricate art than it seems at first blush. While the host makes it look easy, Iniesta couldn’t manage more than a pathetic wheeze. Perhaps this should comfort those who dislike the vuvuzela, but does it really make you feel better to know that someone has to practice to be such a nuisance?↵
