Jet defensive back Darelle Revis sat out a portion of Monday’s morning minicamp practice because he felt “just a little light-headed.” Later on though, it turned out that Revis’ reasons were far less sickness-related and a lot more wallet-related than originally mentioned.

The All-Pro cornerback voiced his displeasure again at the stalled contract negotiations with the Jets. He went so far as to call the team’s most recent offer an “insult” because it didn’t have any fully guaranteed money.
“To me, it’s like an insult... you sending me stuff with not guaranteed money in the contract,” Revis said. “That’s not good.”
Rex Ryan seemed to believe that the situation would rectify itself and Revis would be a happy member of the Jets as they try to return to the AFC Championship. Of course, if they wanted to, the Jets could also make the claim that Revis’ recent conduct is enough to void his contract altogether. That’s unlikely, given how good of a player Revis and what he means to Gang Green.
In other words, the team and Revis are currently playing a game of chicken and you can be fairly certain the Jets will be the ones to swerve first.
