Latest Injury Nothing To Cheer About

Pretty soon the only acceptable – and safe – form of celebrating in baseball is going to be a high five or maybe a fist bump. Not after another player was injured during a wild post-game celebration.

This time it was UCLA second baseman Tyler Rahmatulla suffering the cruel fate when he broke his wrist in the dog-pile celebration after the Bruins’ 8-1 victory over Cal State Fullerton Sunday. Rahmatulla, the Bruins' No. 3 hitter, will miss the College World Series.

↵You may recall the Angels’ Kendry Morales broke his leg in May during a pileup at home plate following a walk-off home run.
