Strikeforce: Los Angeles Results - Tim Kennedy Dominates Trevor Prangley

Trevor Prangley had no answers for Tim Kennedy once Kennedy was able to get the fight to the floor in their Strikeforce: Los Angeles bout. Early in the fight the South African Prangley was able to defend against the takedowns of Kennedy and even mix in his own takedowns. However, Kennedy was able to pop up directly after each takedown attempt and finally secured his own double-leg takedown into half guard. On the ground, Kennedy passed to mount and then took Prangley’s back before sinking in the choke for the submission win.

With the win Kennedy steps closer to a middleweight title shot. A proper next step for him is the loser of the main event bout between “Babalu” Sobral and Robbie Lawler or the winner of the upcoming rematch between Cung Le and Scott Smith.
