Earlier, it was reported that Ohio State signee Jamel Turner had been hospitalized in critical condition after suffering multiple gunshot wounds in a Youngstown incident that also left a 17-year-old girl dead.
Report On Jamel Turner’s Death Retracted
Unfortunately, according to Bucknuts.com, Turner has now also passed away from those injuries. UPDATE: Bucknuts has retracted the report.
Police are still searching for 18-year-old Melvin Shaw of Youngstown for more information on the case. Shaw is believed to be the boyfriend of Tracy Banks, the 17-year-old that was killed.
Needless to say, the college football world’s hearts go out to Turner, Banks, their families, and the Ohio State family.
