World Cup 2010, Brazil Vs. Cote D’Ivoire: Luis Fabiano Puts Brazil In Front

Luis Fabiano has given Brazil a 1-0 lead in the 25th minute in their match against Cote d’Ivoire.

Fabiano beat Ivorian goalkeeper Boubacar Barry high and to his near post, putting the ball into the top of the next from eight yards out, after Kaká had put the striker beyond the Cote d’Ivoire defense.

In possession just outside the box, Kaká had three Ivorians move to him while Luis Fabiano moved toward the line, just in front of Kaká. The midfielder fed a pass past defender Kolo Touré, leaving Fabiano alone in the penalty box for an authoritative finish.

The goal cam amidst a match that had been played relatively even, with Fabiano’s the first shot on goal of the match.
