Brazil has cruised through the first half over their match against Cote d’Ivoire, getting a Luis Fabiano goal in the 25h minute to lead 1-0 after 45 minutes.

Brazil has dominated possession while restricting Cote d’Ivoire to one shot on goal. But indicative of play in the first half, Brazil also only had one shot on goal.
That shot was Fabiano’s, a blast from eight yards out, to Boubacar Barry’s left, went into the top of the net. The Brazilian striker was put alone on goal after the Cote d’Ivoire defense collapsed on midfielder Kaká, in possession at the edge of the penalty area, whose flick beyond the line evaded Kolo Touré, giving Fabiano the opening.
Brazil held the ball for 58 percent of the first half with a total of four shots, the same number as the Ivorians.
