A team as good as Arizona St. wasn’t going to just fade away and they’re not. A RBI single in the sixth by Riccio Torrez cut the Clemson lead to 6-2. In the seventh, the Sun Devils loaded the bases with nobody out, but managed just one run. While the ASU deficit is just 6-3 now, you can bet they’ll be wondering “what if…” about that seventh inning if they don’t find a way to come back.

With Clemson starting pitcher Casey Harman out of the game after six innings of three run ball, the question is whether or not the Tigers can get outs. Their pitching staff is not nearly as good as you would expect for a team in Omaha and lacks depth so this could be a problem in the final two innings.
