Somewhere around lunchtime today, Draft Express’ Johnathan Givony tweeted the news:
When The Internet Contradicts Itself: DeMarcus Cousins Edition
↵
↵A source close to DeMarcus Cousins indicates his preference is to land in Detroit. Feeling is mutual. Not a fan of Sacramento apparently.
↵
↵BOOM. There you have it... Another draft prospect spurns the Kings, and forces the hand of the Sactown management, just like Ricky Rubio a year ago. Then SB Nation’s Kings blogger, Tom Ziller, offered an olive branch:
↵
↵Hey @boogiecousins, we have ways of making you like Sacramento. http://www.thesqueezeinn.com/ http://www.williesburgers.com/
↵
↵Except... Despite Ziller’s charming pitch, this was all apparently news to Cousins, as @boogiecousins tweeted a little later:
↵
↵Draft express needs to get their facts straight ....ME nor ANYBODY close to me made those comments
↵
↵And, well, moral of the story? A lot of times, the 24 hour news cycle’s a waste of time. When we’re all hanging on the whims of a Twitter account named “Boogie Cousins” ... That sort of speaks for itself, ya know? Sacramento’s burger selection does look impressive though.
