Wimbledon: James Blake Falls To Robin Haase

Former top five player James Blake, whose ranking has fallen to No. 109 , lost in straight sets to young Dutchman Robin Haase, 6-2, 6-4, 6-4.

Blake has never done much on grass, but this is still the type of match he probably should be winning.

The loss sets up the next few months as a make-or-break time in Blake’s career. Blake will either have enough success to keep playing, or his ranking will drop even further, causing him to almost certainly retire.

Luckily for Blake, the American hard court swing, his most successful part of the calendar, is up next.
