Some folks might quibble with French manager Raymond Domenech’s decision making throughout the 2010 World Cup. He picked the wrong players, played the wrong formations, and eventually prompted a mutiny from his entire team. (Jeez. It sounds so much worse when you break it down like that.)
VIDEO: France’s Raymond Domenech Refuses Postgame Handshake
↵To paraphrase Chris Rock, “They don’t grade soccer coaches, but if your team disgraces its country, abruptly refuses to practice, and scores one goal in three games, then you f—ed up.”
↵So would France’s 2010 World Cup—and Domenech’s tenure as manager—end with its disgraced coach refusing to show class, and shake hands with everyone’s sentimental favorite? And doing so in the most effeminate, finger-wagging, and altogether French way possible? That’s how it ends for France?

↵...Of course that’s how it ends for France.
