World Cup 2010, Spain Vs. Chile: Rodrigo Millar Uses Gerard Pique Deflection To Pull Chile Within One

Chile is back within one goal two minutes after halftime thanks to Gerard Piqué’s deflection of a Rodrigo Millar shot, making it 2-1 Spain.

Millar, brought on at halftime, was being closed-down by three Spanish defenders when he left his shot go from 19 yards. The ball hit off Piqué’s shit an as goalkeeper Iker Casillas went right, flew to the left of goal, giving Casillas no chance.

Chile would win Group H with a draw. If current results hold, they would go through to the knockout stage in second place, with Spain winning the group.
