2010 Travelers Championship, Round 4: Bubba Watson Gets Emotional First Victory

After surviving a two playoff holes against Scott Verplank and Corey Pavin, Bubba Watson broke down in tears in interviews immediately following his first ever tour victory.

The three finished 14 under for the tournament. Verplank shot a final round 64, while Pavin and Watson shot on a 66 on Sunday to force the tie. On the first playoff hole, Pavin sent his approach into the bunker while Watson and Verplank birdied, sending them to a second playoff.

On the second playoff, Verplank missed a short par putt. Watson was able to steady himself and sink his to earn the win. Watson had lost his share of the lead after 17 with a double bogey, but birdied on 18 to force the three-way tie.

Justin Rose came into the final day with a three-stroke lead, primed for his second PGA Tour title in a month, but he saw that lead evaporate with three bogeys and a double bogey on his last nine holes of the final round. He posted a 75 on Sunday to tie for ninth place.
