World Cup 2010, Paraguay Vs. Japan: Lucas Barrios Close To Paraguay Lead In 20th Minute

Lucas Barrios, returning to Paraguay’s starting lineup, came close to giving his team a first half lead in the 20th minute, turning on Japanese defender Yuji Nakazawa , beating him to a through ball that gave the striker a chance alone on goal. Japanese keeper Eiji Kawashima came off his line to cut down the angles, making the save on the match’s best chance.

Paraguay and Japan are now scoreless in the 26th minute.
