World Cup 2010, Paraguay Vs. Japan: Daisuke Matsui Hits Crossbar In 22nd MInute

A quick attack from Japan after Lucas Barrios nearly scored for Paraguay saw midfielder Daisuke Matsui hit the crossbar in the 22nd minute.

Keisuke Honda carried the ball to within 24 yards of goal, and after drawing the Paraguayan back line to him, laid a pass off for Matsui. The midfielder opened his foot onto a shot that dipped over goalkeeper Justo Villar and onto the crossbar.

Japan and Paraguay remain scoreless in the match’s 30th minute.
