World Cup 2010, Paraguay Vs. Japan: Roque Santa Cruz 28th Minute Miss Keeps Match Scoreless

Paraguay’s second good chance of the match came off a Claudio Morel corner kick that, after being contested by Antolín Alcaraz and Paulo da Silva, fell to Roque Santa Cruz, whose left footed shot was pulled wide of Eiji Kawashima’s left post.

Santa Cruz seemed to have room to the right side of goal, where he aimed, but his off foot pulled the ball just feet wide of the Japanese goal in the 28th minute.

The match between Paraguay and Japan remains scoreless in the 35th minute.
