Nothing went right for the Celtics in Game 1 of the NBA Finals in Los Angeles and it would be unfair to put the blame on one player. However, the play of Kevin Garnett left Celtics Blog, SB Nation’s Boston Celtics blog, wondering if there is something physically wrong with the veteran forward.
Celtics Blog: Not Kevin Garnett’s Night
Kevin Garnett looked bad, real bad. He missed a number of bunnies, made bad decisions, bad passes, and was a step slow all night. I'm worried that he might have gotten hurt sometime in the Magic series and didn't tell anyone about it.
Garnett did finish with 16 points on 7-of-16 shooting but he pulled down only four rebounds and was a minus-14.
On the other hand, Pau Gasol, the Lakers’ four-man, had 23 points and 14 rebounds and was a plus-13.
