2010 Memorial Tournament: Ricky Barnes’ Magnificent Round 3 Threatens Leader Rickie Fowler

Through the first two rounds of the 2010 Memorial Tournamentm, Ricky Barnes’ play was adequate. In Round 3, it was spectacular.
Barnes shot a 62 for the round -- one away from tying the all-time course record. He managed a bogey-free Saturday while converting eight birdies and an eagle, and currently stands at 13-under through three rounds.

Barnes has played professionally since 2003. He has never won a PGA tournament, having suffered a collapse in the 2009 U.S. Open.

As of this writing, Rickie Fowler, the leader entering Saturday, still holds the lead by a small margin. He’s 2-under through 13 holes in Round 3.

As for golf’s most familiar faces: Phil Mickelson is 8-under after a 2-under Round 3. Tiger Woods’ 3-under Saturday puts him at 6-under for the tournament.
