2010 Memorial Tournament, Round 4 Update: Fowler Holding Lead, Rose Threatening

It’s Round 4 of the Memorial Tournament, and Rickie Fowler remains at the lead. Through the front nine, he answered a second-hole bogey with two birdies to put him at 1-under for the round and 17-under for the tournament.

Justin Rose shot a strong Round 1 on Thursday, but faded into the pack in Rounds 2 and 3. On Sunday he’s bouncing back, having birdied 4 of his last 5 holes. He’s at 16-under, one behind the lead in second place.

Ricky Barnes, who lit the course on fire with a 10-under Round 3, is at par through the front nine thanks to a double-bogey on the seventh hole. He stands one stroke behind Fowler.

Phil Mickelson would need a miracle to win the Memorial Tournament this year, but he’s shooting 3-under through twelve holes, enough to vault him into a tie for fourth place.

Although Tiger Woods is sequestered into a tie for fifteenth place, he’s delivering a performance that mortals would find respectable. On Sunday, he’s following up 3-under days in Rounds 2 and 3 with a 1-under Round 4.

We’ll update as the leaderboard changes. For all things golf, be sure to check out our golf blog, Waggle Room.
