Stan Kroenke owns the Denver Nuggets and Colorado Avalanche. Because of the NFL’s cross-ownership rules, he wouldn’t be able to own both those teams and the Rams. It was presumed that he would transfer the Colorado teams to his wife but he recently made public statements indicating his son could be the one.
Avalanche, Nuggets Could Go To Stan Kroenke’s Son In Order To Complete Rams Sale
"Our son Josh has been involved with many of our organizations for several years and that family continuity remains a priority," Kroenke said in a statement to The Denver Post. "My family looks forward to owning the Rams, Nuggets and Avalanche for years to come while being compliant with all stipulations set by the NFL. Our family remains committed to fans in St. Louis and Denver."
Josh works in the Nuggets front office. He’s got at least one fan if he were to become an owner:
"He's very business savvy," said Nuggets star Carmelo Anthony. "As an owner, it'll take some time for him to learn everything. But eventually, I think he'll become a great owner."
